Minnesota — Minnesota hunting lottery military / disabled-veteran preference

DNR License Center form (July 2025) for lottery preference (bear, deer, spring turkey) for Minnesota residents currently in active service, discharged within 24 months, Purple Heart recipients, or 100% service-connected veterans. Apply for the lottery first, then mail or fax this form with military proof before the lottery deadline. Does not apply to moose, elk, or prairie chicken.

Bring. Preference application, official military papers, MN driver’s license or ID number.
