TRICARE For Life + Medicare Part B
Medicare-wraparound for the person who is TRICARE-eligible in DEERS and has Medicare Part A and Part B. There is no TFL enrollment and no TFL card — coverage starts the first day both Medicare parts are in effect. You must pay the Medicare Part B premium. TFL does not automatically cover family members; each person needs their own Medicare and TRICARE eligibility. TRICARE last updated this page 2 Jul 2026. Use the 2026 TFL cost matrix for copays and the catastrophic cap — those numbers change each January.
Who it is for. TRICARE-eligible in DEERS plus Medicare A and B. Active-duty members and active-duty families with Medicare stay on their current TRICARE plan instead of TFL.
